The Story behind Vilo’s Cafe
Hi, I’m Victoria Lopera, the founder of Vilo’s Cafe, a name inspired by my initials and fueled by a dream that never quit.
Vilo’s Cafe first welcomed guests in October 2019 as a cozy, inviting restaurant where flavors mingled with warmth, creating unforgettable moments. Just months later, the unexpected arrival of the pandemic forced us to close our doors. But the heart and spirit of Vilo’s never waned, it evolved. The food at Vilo's Cafe was inspired by many cultures, even as we proudly embrace our Colombian roots. One time, a customer affectionately called us a "fusion confusion" restaurant, and we loved it. This playful nickname perfectly captures our creative approach to blending diverse flavors and culinary traditions into every dish we serve.
Today, Vilo’s Cafe on Wheels brings that same spirit to the streets of Jacksonville and beyond. We now serve handcrafted coffee and pastries, each made with care and love. While our menu may be smaller, the essence remains: a place where every cup invites you to reconnect, recall cherished memories, and smile.
None of this would exist without my family. Their quiet strength, their faith in every version of this dream has been my foundation. They’ve stood beside me through every reinvention, every moment of doubt, they always help me to finds a way to rise again.
This new chapter is dedicated to our loyal old customers who have supported us throughout our journey. We also warmly welcome new customers to join our community and experience what Vilo's Cafe has to offer. Your continued trust and enthusiasm inspire us to keep improving and serving you better every day.
Vilo’s Café on Wheels welcomes you back, even if just for a great cup of coffee. Because special places don’t disappear; they simply transform.
“This is our offering. May it comfort, inspire, and remind you that you are not alone, one sip at a time.”
